BISP Chairperson Senator Rubina Khalid Visits Flood-Affected Areas of Buner, Assures Full Rehabilitation Support
Buner, September 29 Chairperson Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP), Senator Rubina Khalid, along with Member National Assembly Ms. Nafisa Shah, visited the flood-affected areas of District Buner in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, which were badly hit by torrential rains, floods, and landslides.
On her special directions, a BISP Mobile Registration Van has reached Buner to ensure immediate registration of flood-affected families so they can benefit from various BISP initiatives.
During the visit, Senator Rubina Khalid reviewed ongoing relief efforts with PPP Khyber Pakhtunkhwa President Syed Muhammad Ali Shah Bacha and other party leaders. She also held consultations on comprehensive rehabilitation measures. Deputy Commissioner Buner, Mr. Kashif Qayum Khan, briefed her on the extent of the disaster, relief operations, and district administration’s rehabilitation work.
On this occasion, Senator Rubina Khalid also distributed essential relief items among flood victims in her personal capacity.
Later, addressing local media representatives in Ambela, Buner, Senator Rubina Khalid reaffirmed her unwavering commitment to the people of Buner, stating that she has been personally visiting the district regularly to monitor relief efforts and ensure timely delivery of assistance to the affected families.
