Quetta, September 30, 2025 — Director General National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Balochistan), Mr. Nauman Aslam, has stressed that students hold a decisive role in shaping a transparent and corruption-free Pakistan.
Speaking during a visit of a delegation from the National University of Science and Technology (NUST) Quetta Cantt, led by Assistant Professor Dr. Rafiqullah, the DG underlined that engaging youth and academia is essential to building integrity and strengthening accountability culture.
The students and faculty were briefed on NAB’s operational framework, including complaint handling, inquiry mechanisms, and prosecution procedures. Deputy Director Khuram Shehzad delivered a detailed lecture on NAB’s three-pronged approach of Awareness, Prevention, and Enforcement, also highlighting key provisions of the National Accountability Ordinance 1999.
Mr. Nauman Aslam, accompanied by Director NAB Mr. Niaz Hassan, reiterated the Chairman NAB’s vision to prioritize high-profile corruption cases alongside preventive measures. He urged students to embrace character-building values, ethical conduct, and vigilance to ensure their role as future leaders in eliminating corruption from society.
The visit concluded with an interactive session, where students and faculty raised questions, followed by the presentation of a commemorative shield to Dr. Rafiqullah. Both NAB officials and the NUST delegation praised the initiative as a meaningful step towards promoting transparency, accountability, and a corruption-free Pakistan.
