Beijing, September : Pakistan’s Ambassador to China, Khalil Hashmi, inaugurated the “Ambassador’s Kitchen” in Xi’an on the sidelines of the Euro-Asia Economic Forum 2025, showcasing Pakistan’s food, hospitality, and signature exports as a tool of cultural diplomacy.
The initiative highlights Pakistan’s culinary heritage with mangoes, basmati rice, pink salt, and traditional dishes, serving as a bridge for cultural and economic exchange. Ambassador Hashmi said food connects people much like the Silk Road once did, positioning Shaanxi as a gateway for deeper Pakistan-China engagement.
The project is aligned with CPEC Phase-II, focusing on agriculture, food processing, and trade diversification. Xi’an, the ancient Silk Road starting point, symbolically underscores how CPEC revives historic connectivity through trade and culture.
