The Competition Commission of Pakistan (CCP) has granted approval to PTCL for the acquisition of Telenor Pakistan, marking a significant milestone in the transaction process.

The approval followed a careful regulatory review by the CCP. The transaction will now move forward for clearance by the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) before final completion.

“We appreciate the CCP’s thorough review process. This approval strengthens Pakistan’s telecom sector and represents an important step toward closing the transaction,” said Telenor Asia in a statement.

Telenor Pakistan will continue its operations as usual, serving its 43 million customers nationwide until the transaction is finalized.
