Gilgit, September 30, 2025: Director General of Gilgit Development Authority (GDA), Izharullah, accompanied by Chief Engineer GDA and Project Director of the Sanitary Sewerage Project, conducted an extensive field visit to ongoing sanitary sewerage projects in Soni Kot Bala, Kunudas, and Khomer Gashot.
The visit aimed to review the progress, quality, and implementation timelines of these critical urban infrastructure projects. The inspection included contractors and consulting teams, ensuring that all technical and safety standards are met.
Speaking during the visit, DG Izharullah stressed the importance of timely completion and directed that all projects adhere strictly to quality protocols. He said these sewerage initiatives are crucial for improving municipal services, urban sanitation, and overall public health in Gilgit.
The DG highlighted that GDA remains committed to enhancing modern sewerage systems and clean water facilities across the region. This inspection forms part of GDA’s ongoing efforts to monitor urban development projects and ensure efficient service delivery to residents.
