Four Policemen Injured in IED Blast on Patrol Vehicle

PESHAWAR – October 2, 2025:
A police mobile came under attack in the Bhana Mari police station jurisdiction of Peshawar when an improvised explosive device (IED) exploded near Qamar Din Chowk, leaving four police personnel injured.

According to police officials, the injured were rushed to a nearby hospital where they are undergoing medical treatment.

Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Peshawar, Dr. Mian Saeed Ahmed, confirmed the incident and said the police mobile was on a routine patrol when the blast occurred.

Following the explosion, a heavy contingent of police and security forces cordoned off the area and launched a search operation. The bomb disposal squad also reached the site to collect evidence and assess the nature of the device.

Initial reports indicate that the explosive was detonated remotely, though final findings will be released after the investigation is completed.

Peshawar has recently witnessed a spike in attacks targeting police and security forces, forcing law enforcement agencies to intensify patrolling and beef up security across the city.
