Quetta Administration Cracks Down on Illegal Petrol Pumps, Plastic Bags, and Price Violations
Quetta, October 2, 2025:
The district administration Quetta, under the supervision of Assistant Commissioners and Special Magistrates, carried out a series of operations across all sub-divisions against price control violations, illegal mini petrol pumps, and banned plastic bags.
During the drives, 108 shops and markets were inspected, leading to the arrest of 21 individuals, with 14 sent to jail. Authorities also sealed 10 mini petrol pumps and 2 shops, in addition to confiscating 340 kilograms of banned plastic bags. Furthermore, 17 shopkeepers were fined for overpricing and violations.
The administration reaffirmed that such operations will continue to ensure public safety, elimination of illegal businesses, and provision of relief to citizens.
