Islamabad, Oct 3,
Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) carried out eight successful operations across different cities of the country, apprehended nine suspects including one woman, and recovered 24.9 kilograms of narcotics worth more than PKR 2.2 million.
International Drug Interdiction:
At Islamabad International Airport, 1.476 kilograms of Ice was recovered from the luggage of a passenger traveling to Bahrain. The accused was arrested.
Domestic Drug Interdiction:
12 kilograms of Hashish recovered from two suspects near National Highway, Hyderabad.
4.8 kilograms of Hashish recovered from a vehicle near Naval Anchorage Expressway, Islamabad.
4 kilograms of Hashish seized from a vehicle near Indus Highway, Kohat.
1.2 kilograms of Hashish recovered near Haji Camp, GT Road, Peshawar.
300 grams of Ice seized from two individuals including a woman near a hotel in Jamali Pul, Karachi.
200 grams of Ice seized from an accused near Indus Chorangi Main Korangi Road, Karachi.
Inter-Provincial Drug Interdiction:
1 kilogram of Hashish confiscated near Old Toll Plaza, Indus Highway, Kohat.
Cases have been registered under the Control of Narcotic Substances Act (CNSA) 1997 and investigations are underway.
