Sanghar, October 4 (Hasnain Ashiq Saand):
Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) leaders and citizens staged a protest demonstration outside the Tando Adam Press Club to condemn the Israeli assault on the Gaza-bound humanitarian Samud Flotilla and the arrest of several international aid workers, including JI leader Senator Mushtaq Ahmad Khan.

Addressing the gathering, JI Tando Adam chief Syed Areefullah Saifi denounced the Israeli aggression as “a crime against humanity” and a blatant violation of international law and human rights. He demanded the immediate release of all detained humanitarian workers.

The demonstration was organized following a nationwide protest call by JI Pakistan chief Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman. Participants waved Palestinian flags and chanted slogans in solidarity with Gaza and against Israeli atrocities.

Other speakers, including Abdul Ghafoor Ansari, Abdul Sattar Ansari, Mushtaq Ahmad Adil, Haji Noor Hassan, and Abdul Rahman Mansoori, expressed deep concern over the continuing humanitarian crisis in Gaza.

Speakers claimed that over 70,000 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli attacks during the past two years and urged the Muslim world to break its silence and adopt a united stance against Israeli oppression.

Syed Areefullah further demanded that Israel withdraw from all occupied Palestinian territories and that full sovereignty be restored to the Palestinian people.
