Turbat, October 4, 2025 – In a proud moment for the University of Turbat (UoT), Shah Meer, a talented student from the Department of Education, won first position in the musical competition at the Kech Cultural Festival 2025, held from October 1 to 3 in Turbat.
Shah Meer’s performance impressed both the judges and the audience, showcasing not only his skill but also his dedication and passion for music. His victory was celebrated by the entire UoT community—students, faculty, and administration—who praised his achievement as a testament to the university’s support for nurturing talent.
The event also highlighted the crucial role of the Directorate of Student Affairs and Dr. Salim Syed, Focal Person of UoT’s Music and Dramatic Society, whose efforts provided students like Shah Meer with platforms to explore and showcase their creative abilities.
This success was built on careful preparation: earlier, on September 19, 2025, the university organized a musical audition under its Music and Dramatic Society, encouraging students to participate and demonstrate their talents.
Shah Meer’s triumph not only brings recognition to him personally but also adds to the growing prestige of the University of Turbat, reflecting its commitment, under the guidance of the Vice-Chancellor, to promoting both academic and extracurricular excellence.
