Quetta Cabinet Committee Reviews Mosque Issues Amid Sabzal and Saryab Road Expansion Projects

Quetta, October 9, 2025 – A key meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Mosques was held under the chairmanship of Commissioner Quetta Division, Shahzaib Khan Kakar, at the Commissioner’s Office. Provincial Minister for Health, Bakhsh Muhammad Kakar, and other officials attended.

The meeting reviewed mosque-related issues in the Sabzal Road and Saryab Road expansion projects under the Quetta Development Project (QDP). Out of 14 affected mosques, four have had issues resolved, while the remainder are still pending. The committee decided to consult with religious scholars and mosque committees to formulate actionable recommendations, ensuring no delays in road development.

Commissioner Shahzaib Khan Kakar emphasized that public welfare and timely project completion remain the government’s priority while respecting religious sites. Road expansions are expected to reduce traffic congestion and enhance the city’s transportation system
