KARACHI: A 30-member high-level Saudi delegation, led by Prince Mansour bin Mohammed Al Saud, Chairman of the Saudi-Pak Joint Business Council, visited Chief Minister’s House in Karachi today.
Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, along with cabinet members Sharjeel Inam Memon, Dr. Azra Fazal Pechuho, Saeed Ghani, Nasir Hussain Shah, Akram Dharejo, and the Chief Secretary, warmly welcomed the distinguished Saudi guest and his delegation.
According to the spokesperson for the Sindh Chief Minister, the delegation included Saudi Ambassador Nawaf bin Saeed Al-Maliki and over 30 prominent business leaders and investors from Saudi Arabia, representing sectors such as energy, infrastructure, agriculture, livestock, mining, construction, logistics, and investment.
Representatives from the Pakistan Business Council, the Overseas Investors Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OICCI), and the Saudi Embassy also attended the meeting.
Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah acknowledged the historic and brotherly ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, stating that “Sindh is ready to become the gateway to Pakistan’s economic growth.”
He highlighted that the Sindh government has digitized land records and simplified investment procedures, emphasizing that creating an investor-friendly and reform-based environment is a top priority.
“Our partnership with Saudi Arabia is vital for the economic future of the region,” he said, adding that the Sindh government’s development agenda is fully aligned with Saudi Vision 2030.
During the meeting, the Chief Minister outlined 12 priority investment sectors of Sindh and invited Saudi companies to invest in agriculture, energy, infrastructure, logistics, and industrial projects.
He also offered investment opportunities in the Hyderabad–Sukkur Motorway, and invited Saudi participation in Karachi’s Blue and Yellow Line Transit Systems, as well as joint ventures in fisheries and livestock sectors.
The Chief Minister further invited Saudi investors to take part in the establishment of Special Economic Zones (SEZs) across Sindh.
Both sides agreed to form joint working groups to ensure sustained collaboration and coordination across sectors.
“The creation of sectoral working groups is essential to ensure continuity of cooperation,” the Chief Minister emphasized.
He noted that the Sindh government is working in close coordination with federal institutions, including the Federal Ministry of Investment, the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC), and the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP), to provide complete facilitation for foreign investors from feasibility to implementation stages.
The meeting also discussed enhancing public–private partnerships to promote long-term cooperation.
In his remarks, Prince Mansour bin Mohammed Al Saud thanked Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah for his warm hospitality, saying,
> “I have come with a high-level business delegation to establish new partnerships between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan.”
He announced that sectoral subcommittees will be established to accelerate investment across key areas, adding that “Karachi, being a major port city, offers vast opportunities for investment.”
Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah reaffirmed that the Sindh government has opened its doors to investors and assured full cooperation and support for Saudi investors.
