Tribute Ceremony Held at Vice Chancellor Secretariat for Turbat University Students Excelling at Kech Cultural Festival

A prestigious ceremony was held at the Vice Chancellor Secretariat to honor Turbat University students who achieved outstanding performances at the Kech Cultural Festival. The event was presided over by Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Gul Hassan, and attended by Registrar Gungzar Baloch, Chairman of
Management Sciences Dr. Ghulam Jan, Chairperson of Education Dr. Mehnaz Aslam, Director Public Relations Ijaz Ahmed, Director Student Affairs Chakar Haider, faculty member of Economics Samina Faqir, and focal persons of the Musical and Dramatic Society, including Dr. Muhammad Salim, along with the students who won top positions in the festival.
At the festival, the Entrepreneurial Competition saw Turbat University’s team “Work in Project” secure first position, comprising students Talha Tahir, Irfan Khater, Ahmed, Sangeen Anwar (Management Sciences), and Kherbakhsh (Computer Science). Another team, “Food Surplus App”, earned second position, featuring students Shamim KB, Sameer Ahmed, Jiyand Sharif, and Owais Qadir from the Computer Science department. In the Musical Competition, Education student Shah Mir won first position.
Addressing the ceremony, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Gul Hassan congratulated all students for their achievements and active participation in various activities. He emphasized that the university administration is committed to nurturing students’ creative potential and character development through youth engagement initiatives. He encouraged students to participate enthusiastically in constructive activities to enhance their academic, creative, social, and leadership skills, contributing to provincial and national development, social cohesion, and societal stability.
The Vice Chancellor also instructed the Directorate of Student Affairs to guide and encourage students to take full advantage of youth empowerment initiatives launched by federal and provincial governments, including the National Vocational and Training Commission programs, Young Peace and Development Corps, and Youth Digital Hubs.
Prof. Dr. Gul Hassan also appreciated the efforts of Registrar’s Office, Directorate of Student Affairs, student clubs and societies focal persons, and guiding faculty members, including Dr. Ghulam Jan, Dr. Muhammad Salim, Samina Faqir, and other supporting staff, whose mentorship enabled students’ success.
It is noteworthy that during the Kech Cultural Festival, Dr. Ghulam Jan requested local representatives, district administration, and organizers to support students in implementing their business ideas as a means of encouraging innovation and entrepreneurship among youth.
