Governor Gilgit-Baltistan Syed Mehdi Shah visited the residence of Qazi Nisar Ahmed, the Ameer of Ahl-e-Sunnat wal Jamaat Gilgit-Baltistan and Kohistan, who was injured in a recent firing incident in Gilgit. During the visit, the Governor praised Qazi Nisar’s remarkable courage and statesmanship, lauding his message of peace and harmony despite being wounded in the attack.

Governor Mehdi Shah said that Qazi Nisar Ahmed’s calm and positive attitude in the face of adversity is highly encouraging for the people of Gilgit-Baltistan, and serves as an example of tolerance, unity, and national solidarity. He emphasized that such leadership plays a vital role in strengthening communal harmony and promoting peaceful coexistence in the region.

The Governor reiterated that the Government of Gilgit-Baltistan is fully committed to promoting peace, tolerance, and brotherhood across the region. He assured that those responsible for the tragic incident will be brought to justice and dealt with strictly according to the law.

Governor Mehdi Shah also offered prayers for the speedy recovery of Qazi Nisar Ahmed, expressing hope that peace, stability, and unity will continue to prevail in Gilgit-Baltistan.
