Islamabad Food Authority Seals Five Bakeries and Factories for Poor Hygiene and Substandard Food

ISLAMABAD, Oct 14 — Special Report:
To ensure the provision of safe and quality food to citizens, the Islamabad Food Authority (IFA) has intensified its operations across the city. On the special directions of Deputy Director Dr. Tahira Siddiq, the Food Safety Team conducted surprise inspections in Tarnol, 26 Number, Jhangi Syedan, and Shams Colony.

During the inspections, five bakeries and food manufacturing units were sealed due to poor hygiene conditions and the sale of substandard food items. The team also confiscated and destroyed 200 kilograms of expired food products on the spot.

Dr. Tahira Siddiq stated that the authority is committed to making the supply of expired and low-quality food completely impossible in Islamabad. She further said that surprise inspections are being carried out regularly across the capital to ensure that food standards and public health are fully protected.
