KU Signs MoU with Houston Alumni Association for Distribution of 100 Laptops
Partnership aims to enhance students’ digital access and research opportunities through transparent laptop distribution in 2026

KARACHI: A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the University of Karachi and the University of Karachi Alumni Association Houston, Texas, USA, in collaboration with the University of Karachi Teachers Society, during a ceremony held at the Vice Chancellor Secretariat.
The MoU was signed by Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Khalid Mahmood Iraqi, Alumni Association President Faheem Akhoond, and Teachers Society President Dr. Mohsin Ali.
The agreement aims to strengthen mutual cooperation and support educational development for students. Under the MoU, the Alumni Association will provide 100 laptops in 2026, to be distributed among deserving Master’s, M.Phil, and Ph.D. students.
The Teachers Society will assist in ensuring a transparent selection and distribution process. This initiative is expected to enhance students’ access to digital tools, raise academic standards, and promote research excellence at the University of Karachi.
