QUETTA, Oct 14,:
Chief Minister of Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti, addressing participants of the 17th National Workshop Balochistan, said that there is no insurgency in the province, only so-called separatist movements promoted by anti-Pakistan forces whose agenda is to weaken and divide the country.

He stated that Pakistan’s enemies want to cut the country into pieces “like a cake,” but the nation stands united. “The false narrative of unequal development in Balochistan was deliberately created to mislead the people,” he said, adding that the term ‘angry Baloch’ was coined to justify terrorism.

“Anyone who takes up arms and resorts to violence is not angry but a terrorist,” he stressed. Bugti revealed that the first ferrari camp in Balochistan was established on June 21, 2002, which fueled terrorism in the province. “Social media propaganda has widened the gap between our youth and the state,” he added.

The Chief Minister said that the provincial government is actively engaging with students in universities and other forums to hear their grievances. He directly accused India’s intelligence agency RAW of playing a key role in destabilizing Balochistan. “Separatists are happy with India but want to harm Pakistan,” he remarked.

Bugti asserted that the war against terrorism is not just the responsibility of the armed forces but of the entire nation. “Politics is secondary to the State of Pakistan,” he declared, emphasizing that the Balochistan government has owned this war as its moral and constitutional responsibility.

He said that reforms and governance improvements are underway, particularly in health and education sectors. “More than 3,200 inactive schools and 164 basic health units have been made functional,” he disclosed.

To strengthen counter-terrorism efforts, the government has enhanced the capacity of the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) with an allocation of Rs 100 million. “Our forces are operating in regions where distinguishing between friend and foe is extremely difficult,” Bugti noted.

He further stated that 24 sub-districts in Balochistan had no Assistant Commissioners for the past 12 years, but the present government has filled these vacancies, restoring the writ of the state.
