Pakistan Army Destroys Fourth Taliban Tank Position in Kurram Sector; Key Commander Reportedly Killed

PARACHINAR, Oct 14, 2025 — The Pakistan Army has intensified its counteroffensive against Afghan Taliban militants and the faction of Khawarij insurgents along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border in the Kurram Sector, security sources confirmed on Tuesday night.

According to security officials, within just one hour, Pakistan Army troops successfully destroyed the fourth Taliban tank position, known as the “Shamshad Post.” The strike caused significant losses to the militants and forced them to abandon multiple posts amid growing panic.

Sources further revealed that during the precision operation, a key commander of the Khawarij network was reportedly killed, dealing a major blow to the militant group’s operational capacity in the region.

The Pakistan Army continues to maintain high operational readiness and has vowed to defend every inch of the national border. Security forces are said to be monitoring the area closely to prevent any cross-border infiltration or retaliatory activity.

Officials reiterated that such decisive and professional actions demonstrate Pakistan’s unwavering resolve to eliminate terrorism and maintain peace in the tribal districts.
