Islamabad, October 14: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has expressed great satisfaction over Pakistan’s election as a member of the United Nations Human Rights Council for the term 2026–2028.
In a statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Office, Shehbaz Sharif said Pakistan’s election reflects the country’s strong diplomatic standing and its effective role within the United Nations.
He reaffirmed Pakistan’s firm commitment to promoting and safeguarding human rights globally, emphasizing that Pakistan will continue to play an active and constructive role in the Human Rights Council to uphold justice, equality, and human dignity around the world.
