Karachi, October 14, 2025 — In a landmark collaboration blending the worlds of music and football, Spotify and FC Barcelona have announced global pop icon Ed Sheeran as the latest artist to take over the club’s legendary blaugrana jersey for the highly anticipated El Clásico match against Real Madrid on October 26.

This marks the seventh jersey takeover under the Spotify x FC Barcelona partnership and the first time a solo male pop artist has ever fronted the club’s iconic shirt. The jersey will feature the logo of Ed Sheeran’s upcoming studio album, Play, symbolizing creativity, unity, and global connection.

Adding to the excitement, a limited-edition capsule collection will also launch — including a retro-style jersey inspired by FC Barcelona’s 2004/05 season (when Ed first began recording music).
