Early on October 15, 2025, Pakistani border posts in Balochistan’s Spin Boldak and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Kurram sector came under unprovoked attacks by Afghan Taliban and Fitna Al Khwarij militants. Pakistan Army responded swiftly, neutralising multiple attackers and destroying several enemy positions, including tanks, while effectively defending the border.

President Asif Ali Zardari strongly condemned the attacks, terming them a violation of Pakistan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. He praised the bravery and professionalism of the Armed Forces and urged Afghan authorities to prevent their soil from being used for terrorist activities against Pakistan.

The President emphasised that Pakistan seeks peaceful and cooperative relations with all neighbours, but any aggression will be met with a firm response. The attacks have further highlighted the need for regional stability and adherence to international agreements.
