The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has successfully executed a series of seven coordinated operations across Pakistan, targeting both international and domestic drug trafficking networks. These efforts led to the arrest of six accused smugglers and the recovery of 205.291 kilograms of narcotics, valued at over Rs.18.5 million in the global market.

The operations—spanning airports, highways, and urban centers—reflect ANF’s strong resolve to eradicate drug smuggling networks operating across provincial and international routes.

Comprehensive Anti-Narcotics Operations

At the Allama Iqbal International Airport, Lahore, ANF intercepted two passengers traveling to Jeddah for Umrah, recovering a total of 167 heroin and ice-filled capsules from their abdomens. The capsules contained 1.223 kilograms of contraband, including 0.562 kg of heroin, 0.219 kg of ice, and 0.442 kg of heroin from the second passenger.

In Rawalpindi, a parcel arriving from the United Kingdom was intercepted at a courier office in Chaklala Garrison, yielding 68 grams of weed.

Meanwhile, at Kala Shah Kaku Toll Plaza, Punjab, ANF officers seized a vehicle carrying 120 kilograms of hashish and 30 kilograms of opium. The suspect was arrested on-site, and initial investigations suggest the drugs were being transported for inter-provincial smuggling.

In Balochistan, near Bacha Agha Bazaar, Baleli (Quetta), ANF recovered 30 kilograms of hashish from a vehicle, arresting the driver.

Further south, on Bannu–Kohat Road near Pindi Bridge, ANF teams seized 14.4 kilograms of hashish and 3.6 kilograms of opium from a smuggler’s possession.

In Karachi, a successful raid at Rais Goth, Hub Road led to the recovery of 6 kilograms of hashish, disrupting a local narcotics distribution chain.

All operations were conducted as part of ANF’s nationwide strategy against narcotics, targeting international couriers, highway transporters, and local distributors.

> “ANF’s mission is clear — every operation protects future generations from the scourge of drugs. We will continue to pursue every link in this chain until Pakistan is drug-free,”
— ANF Spokesperson

Cases have been registered under the Control of Narcotic Substances Act (CNSA) 1997, while further investigations are underway to dismantle the entire network behind these smuggling attempts.
