Al-Khidmat Foundation Launches PKR 15 Billion ‘Rebuild Gaza’ Program to Support War-Affected Families

Rawalpindi, October 19, 2025: Al-Khidmat Foundation Pakistan has officially launched the PKR 15 billion Rebuild Gaza program aimed at reconstruction and rehabilitation following the recent ceasefire in Gaza. The announcement was made by President Al-Khidmat Foundation, Professor Dr. Hafeez-ur-Rahman, upon his return from a relief and rehabilitation visit to Egypt.

Dr. Hafeez-ur-Rahman revealed that over PKR 8.1 billion have already been spent to support affected families in Gaza. A total of 5,000 tons of relief goods have been sent via 35 air and sea consignments, including tents, blankets, food supplies, wheat, rice, hygiene kits, delivery kits, and baby essentials.

Under the first phase of the Rebuild Gaza program, 6,000 families will receive food packages, while 100 tons of additional relief supplies and 100 tons of rice are being dispatched from Cairo to Gaza. Ready-to-eat packets of 100 tons of sacrificial meat are also being prepared.

Al-Khidmat’s six operational water filtration plants in Gaza will be expanded to cover 100 safe drinking water projects. To address the upcoming winter, two cargo flights from Pakistan will deliver shelters, tents, blankets, warm clothing, and sleeping bags next week.

In education, two Al-Khidmat shelter schools are already functional in Gaza, with plans to expand them across all Gaza provinces. For higher education, the number of Palestinian students receiving Al-Khidmat scholarships in Pakistan will increase from 404 to 1,000. The foundation will also increase orphan sponsorship from 750 to 3,000 children, with 1,550 martyr families registered so far and 50 families already receiving support.

In healthcare, 394 tons of medicines and three ambulances are currently operational in Gaza. Additionally, plans are in advanced stages to bring 500 injured individuals to Pakistan for treatment. A fully equipped field hospital has been prepared to provide medical treatment and establish prosthetic facilities for the injured.

Dr. Hafeez-ur-Rahman also stated that under the program, the construction of five shelter mosques has already started, with plans to increase the number to 25. Emphasizing that the initiative is not just about immediate relief, he described Rebuild Gaza as a sustainable rehabilitation project, aimed at restoring dignity and normalcy to the lives of Gazans.

He credited the support of the Pakistani public for empowering these efforts and assured that Al-Khidmat Foundation will continue its work until the people of Gaza are able to resume dignified lives.

Secretary General Syed Waqas Jafri and other senior officials of the foundation were also present at the announcement.
