Mardan, Pakistan – The District Health Officer (DHO) Mardan has been tasked with overseeing a formal investigation into recent dengue cases in the district. The inquiry will be led by Field Epidemiology Training Program (FETP) frontline fellows, who will conduct a detailed review of patients’ medical histories, verify clinical management, and assess any contributing factors.

The investigation aims to ensure strict adherence to all standard treatment protocols for dengue and to identify any gaps in patient care.

The Directorate of Health has emphasized the need for a thorough and transparent inquiry, requesting that a comprehensive report of findings and recommendations be submitted to the Office of the Director Public Health at the earliest opportunity.
