QUETTA, Oct 20: The Balochistan Food Authority (BFA) has continued its crackdown on the sale of substandard and unhygienic meat in Quetta.
During a special food-safety campaign on Spini Road, inspection teams examined 27 beef, mutton, and poultry shops. Thirteen were fined for poor hygiene and use of contaminated equipment, while five received improvement notices.
Four shops operating without food-business licenses were also penalized.
According to the BFA spokesperson, daily inspections are being conducted to ensure safe and hygienic food for citizens, and violators of food-safety laws will face strict legal action.
