Governor KP and Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi Vow Relentless Action Against Indian-Backed Terror Networks

LAHORE, October 19, 2025 — Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi and Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi held an important meeting in Lahore to review the overall security situation in the province, discuss recent terrorist incidents, and reaffirm Pakistan’s resolve to eliminate terrorism through coordinated intelligence-based operations.

During the detailed discussion, both leaders assessed the progress of ongoing counterterrorism operations against the Indian-sponsored militant network Fitna al-Khawarij across various districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The two sides also exchanged views on the evolving Pakistan-Afghanistan border situation and its implications for regional stability.

Governor Faisal Karim Kundi praised the tireless efforts and sacrifices of Pakistan’s security forces, describing them as a cornerstone of national stability. He stressed that the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are inherently peace-loving and committed to prosperity, adding that “sustainable peace is essential for the province’s development and progress.”

Both leaders paid tribute to the martyred police personnel who embraced martyrdom in the recent terrorist attacks on the Police Training Center and NADRA office in Dera Ismail Khan. They also discussed the swift rehabilitation and reconstruction of the damaged buildings to ensure continuity of public services.

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi reaffirmed the federal government’s unwavering commitment to combat terrorism in all its forms, declaring that “the nefarious designs of Indian-backed terrorists will never succeed.” He emphasized that intelligence-driven operations are crucial for dismantling terrorist networks and appreciated the unmatched sacrifices of the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in the national fight against terrorism.
