Special Report
Rawalpindi, October 21, 2025:
Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), HJ, interacted with participants of the 17th National Workshop Balochistan at the General Headquarters (GHQ) today.
During his address, the COAS said that Balochistan is the pride of Pakistan, blessed with vibrant, resilient and patriotic people who are the province’s true wealth. He highlighted the Federal and Provincial governments’ ongoing development initiatives aimed at uplifting the socio-economic landscape of Balochistan through a people-centric approach.
Field Marshal Asim Munir emphasized the importance of realizing Balochistan’s immense economic potential for the prosperity of its people. He acknowledged the constructive role of civil society, especially in engaging and empowering youth, noting their pivotal role in sustainable development and in countering divisive political agendas that undermine long-term stability.
The COAS condemned the activities of Indian-sponsored proxies, Fitna al Hindustan and Fitna al Khawarij, describing them as anti-people and anti-development forces working to spread violence and chaos. He reaffirmed that all necessary actions are being taken to eliminate terrorism and restore peace across the province.
Reiterating Pakistan’s commitment to regional peace and stability, the COAS made it clear that any violation of Pakistan’s territorial integrity—direct or indirect—will be met with a firm and decisive response to protect the lives and security of its citizens.
The session concluded with an interactive Q&A, during which participants discussed regional development, national security, and the role of youth in shaping Balochistan’s future.
