Federal Wheat Procurement Mechanism Reflects PPP’s Effective Advocacy for Farmers: Sharjeel Inam Memon

KARACHI – Sindh Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon stated that the federal government’s new wheat procurement mechanism is the result of the Pakistan People’s Party’s (PPP) persistent and principled stance in favor of farmers. He termed the support price announcement a significant success that restores farmers’ confidence and strengthens national self-sufficiency. He added that the Sindh Government has postponed the enforcement of agricultural income tax from December 2024 to June 2025 to provide relief to growers and encourage investment in agriculture.
