Islamabad: The 18th Chief of the Naval Staff (CNS) Amateur Golf Cup 2025 officially commenced in Islamabad with a media briefing and inaugural ceremony at Margalla Greens Golf Club. Recognized as one of the premier national golfing events, the tournament attracts top amateur golfers from across the country.
During the media briefing, Patron Pakistan Navy Golf (North), Rear Admiral Saqib Ilyas, highlighted the key aspects of the event and its organization across multiple categories. The tournament will run from October 22 to 26, featuring invitational matches for guests and sponsors, as well as competitions in the Amateurs, Seniors, Ladies, and Juniors categories.
Since its inception in 2007, the CNS Amateur Golf Cup has become a regular fixture on Pakistan’s national golf circuit, promoting healthy competition and fostering sportsmanship. The event also serves to enhance Pakistan’s positive image and encourage active, healthy lifestyles in society. The regular organization of the tournament reflects the Pakistan Navy’s ongoing commitment to the development and promotion of golf at both national and international levels.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by sponsors, golf players, and media representatives.
