ISLAMABAD, Oct 22:
The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) conducted major operations against drug trafficking in multiple cities across Pakistan, seizing 70.2 kilograms of narcotics worth over Rs 6.8 million and arresting four suspects, the ANF spokesperson said.
According to details, the ANF carried out three separate operations:
In the first operation, conducted near Wali Interchange on Misri Banda Road, Nowshera, officials recovered 46.8 kilograms of hashish and 15.6 kilograms of opium from a vehicle, arresting one suspect on the spot.
In the second operation, near the Sohrab Goth bus terminal in Karachi, 4.8 kilograms of hashish was recovered from a suspect.
During the third operation near the Motorway Toll Plaza in Islamabad, ANF personnel seized 3 kilograms of crystal meth (Ice) from a truck and arrested two individuals.
The spokesperson confirmed that cases have been registered under the Anti-Narcotics Act of 1997, and further investigations are underway.
