GWADAR, Oct 24: On the directives of Assistant Commissioner Gwadar Saad Kaleem Zafar, Price Control Committee In-charge Shakeel Baloch led inspections of various markets and shops across the district.
The inspection teams checked display of official price lists, hygiene conditions, compliance with SOPs, and expiry of goods. Several shopkeepers received warnings for violations, while illegal encroachments were removed from main roads and public spaces.
Shakeel Baloch said strict action would be taken against violators attempting to re-establish encroachments. He urged traders to maintain fair pricing and public convenience to ensure a transparent business environment in the port city.
He further said the district administration is determined to maintain urban discipline in Gwadar, and public complaints regarding price manipulation or illegal construction will be addressed promptly.
