APHC Information Secretary Mushtaq Ahmad Butt Meets Kashmiri Students in Quetta — Urges Them to Represent Their Nation and Highlight Kashmir’s Freedom Struggle Globally
Independent Report
QUETTA, Oct. 25: The Information Secretary of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC), Mushtaq Ahmad Butt, held an important meeting with Kashmiri students studying at a medical college in Quetta, emphasizing their dual responsibility as both students and representatives of their oppressed nation.
Addressing the gathering, Butt said, “Kashmiri students are not only ambassadors of education but also the voice of a nation struggling for its freedom. They bear a great national and moral responsibility.”
He stated that while pursuing higher education, it is equally important for Kashmiri students to represent their people’s decades-long struggle against India’s illegal occupation and state-sponsored oppression. “For the past 78 years, Kashmiris have made countless sacrifices for their freedom, dignity, and identity — and it is our duty to keep the world informed of their plight,” he added.
Drawing parallels with the Palestinian movement, Butt said, “Palestinian youth have become a global example by raising awareness about their cause in different countries through peaceful and organized efforts. We must learn from them how to sustain a freedom movement intelligently and nonviolently on the international stage.”
He noted that the growing global solidarity with Palestine is a result of persistent awareness campaigns by Palestinian students and youth. “Similarly, Kashmiri students must continue to advocate for the right to self-determination so that the international community stands with them,” he emphasized.
Paying tribute to Pakistan’s unwavering support, Butt said, “Pakistan is the most sincere friend and steadfast supporter of Kashmir. It is the only country that consistently highlights the Jammu and Kashmir issue at every international forum.” He added that the people of Kashmir will always remain grateful to Pakistan for its political, moral, and diplomatic backing.
Butt urged students to remain united, excel academically, and become the authentic voice of Kashmir wherever they are.
In conclusion, he invited the students to actively participate in the “Kashmir Black Day” rally being organized by the Government of Balochistan on Monday, October 27, to send a strong message to the world that Kashmir continues its just struggle against India’s unlawful occupation.
The students assured him of their full participation in the upcoming observance and reaffirmed their commitment to advancing the message of Kashmir’s freedom struggle through their knowledge and voices.
