Gwadar Administration Issues Detailed Report on City’s Water Supply and Distribution

GWADAR, Oct. 25, 2025 — The district administration has released a comprehensive report outlining the current water situation and supply sources across Gwadar, highlighting coordinated efforts by various departments to ensure stable distribution.

According to the report, the Gwadar Development Authority (GDA) supplied 1.38 million gallons of water from the Shadi Kaur Dam to the Airport Pumping Station via the Chehod Dagar pipeline. Additionally, 149 water bowser tankers transported 1.9 million gallons from the Mirani Dam for citywide distribution.

The Gwadar Port Authority’s (GPA) desalination plants contributed 184,000 gallons of water, primarily supplied to different areas of L-Town. Meanwhile, the Public Health Engineering Department (PHE) delivered 350,000 gallons through the Sunt Sar–Pileri pipeline, benefiting residents of Pileri Abdul Rahim Bazaar, Peshkan Konarki Bazaar, and adjacent neighborhoods.

The report further mentioned that in Chib Kalmaty, Chib Rikani, and Nagor areas, 92,000 gallons were provided through 18 PHE water bowser trips. Similarly, Jiwani city received 126,750 gallons from Kalatu through 14 tanker trips, supplying two main distribution branches.

The district administration affirmed that all relevant departments remain in close coordination to enhance water distribution and maintain steady supply across Gwadar and its suburban regions.
