Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Deputy PM Ishaq Dar, and Regional Ministers Visit NLC Stall Showcasing Cross-Border Logistics Solutions

The National Logistics Corporation (NLC) received an overwhelming response for its regional connectivity initiatives at the Regional Transport Ministers Conference, where its proactive participation and innovative logistics solutions attracted wide appreciation from delegates and visitors alike.

NLC set up an impressive exhibition stall highlighting its cross-border transportation services and multimodal logistics solutions connecting Pakistan with regional and Central Asian countries. The stall was visited by Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, transport ministers from regional countries, and senior officials from across the region.

During the visit, dignitaries were briefed that in just three years, NLC has successfully expanded operations to more than ten countries, offering end-to-end logistics services that are reliable, cost-effective, and time-efficient for the business community.

NLC’s senior management also participated in high-level panel discussions addressing the challenges and opportunities in cross-border transportation. The organization shared its valuable experience in operationalizing regional trade corridors, linking Central Asian States to global markets through Karachi Port via the most efficient and shortest routes. It was noted that these linkages have the potential to generate significant economic benefits for Central Asian economies through enhanced access to international trade.

Emphasizing regional cooperation, NLC strongly advocated for greater collaboration among transport and logistics sectors to unlock the full potential of transit trade and economic integration. The organization underscored that transport, mobility, and connectivity are the essential pillars of regional development, shared prosperity, and sustainable economic growth.

It was further emphasized that to meet the growing demands of freight transport while ensuring cost efficiency and reliability, countries must adopt harmonized policy frameworks and focus on enhancing the sustainability, resilience, and technological adaptability of logistics systems.
