Supreme Appellate Court Gilgit-Baltistan Grants Bail to Three Convicts in Murder Case

GILGIT, Oct 26 — The Supreme Appellate Court Gilgit-Baltistan has ordered the release of three convicts — Tassawar Hussain, Shehryar Hussain, and Ali Abbas — on bail under Section 426 of the Criminal Procedure Code, suspending their life imprisonment sentences.
The accused had been sentenced to life imprisonment by the Trial Court and the Chief Court for murder, but later filed an appeal before the Supreme Appellate Court.
After hearing arguments from both sides, Chief Justice Sardar Muhammad Shamim Khan accepted the plea and ordered their release on surety bonds worth Rs. 500,000 each along with two personal guarantees.
