Governor Punjab Sardar Saleem Haider Khan emphasized Pakistan’s strategic global position and abundant investment opportunities while meeting a 30-member French tourism delegation at the Governor House Lahore today. The delegation, led by Chairman Business Forum Europe Sardar Zahoor, discussed tourism and business prospects in the country.

Governor Punjab described Pakistan as a peaceful nation blessed with natural beauty, making it an ideal destination for global tourists. He noted that foreign tourist arrivals are regaining momentum and will help boost investment. “The safety of tourists is our top priority, and Pakistan welcomes visitors from all nations, including France,” he said.

He further stressed the importance of projecting Pakistan’s positive image globally. “Pakistan has made immense sacrifices to eliminate terrorism. Those attempting to portray a negative image will be dealt with firmly. There can be no compromise on Pakistan’s integrity,” he added.

The French delegation praised Pakistan’s hospitality, cultural richness, and cuisine, noting that their experiences at historical and tourist sites contradicted negative media portrayals.

Separately, the Governor paid tribute to the martyred soldiers of Kurram district, who lost their lives during operations on October 24–25 against two terrorist groups attempting to infiltrate Pakistan. He lauded the security forces for neutralizing ten terrorists, highlighting the professionalism and valor of the Pakistan Army under Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir. “Our institutions send a clear message to the world: Pakistan is invincible,” he said, adding that the recent victory in the war with India reinforces this.

Governor Punjab concluded by reaffirming that Pakistan’s resilience, sacrifices, and commitment to security continue to make the country a safe and promising destination for tourists and investors alike.
