NASIRABAD: Questions have emerged over transparency in the third phase of teacher recruitment under the Education Department. Candidate Wajid Gul from Union Council Jhadir Shumali has alleged irregularities in the merit list for an Elementary School Teacher (EST) position.

Wajid Gul claims that the first position in his union council was wrongly awarded to another candidate, Deedar Ali, despite Deedar Ali’s B.Ed degree being reportedly unverified. He stated that Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur, confirmed no record exists for Deedar Ali. These documents were presented to the District Recruitment Committee (DRC), yet the candidate remained on the list, allegedly violating merit principles.

Wajid Gul called the situation a blatant injustice, urging the authorities, including the District Education Officer, Deputy Commissioner, Commissioner, Secretary of Education Balochistan, and the Chief Minister, to investigate thoroughly and ensure recruitment strictly on merit. He warned that if his concerns are not addressed, he will file a petition in the High Court.
