NASIRABAD: Leaders of the Pakistan Communist Party, including Central General Secretary Qazi Imdad, Balochistan Zargar Committee President Farhad Rand, and Sindh Hari Committee representatives, addressed a press conference demanding government support for smallholders and landless farmers.

They criticized market manipulations and corporate farming policies, which they claim undermine small farmers, forcing them to sell land cheaply. They highlighted issues such as rising costs of seeds and fertilizers, black marketing, and unfair pricing of crops.

The leaders called for fair subsidies, monitoring committees including farmer representatives, and equitable access to resources for landless farmers. They also demanded government intervention to regulate fertilizer markets, ensure fair procurement prices for wheat and rice, and provide irrigation facilities to smallholders.
