On the International Day to End Impunity for Crimes Against Journalists, Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti emphasized that a free, responsible, and secure press is the cornerstone of democratic societies.
He stated that journalists play a vital role in uncovering facts, raising awareness, and guiding public opinion; therefore, ensuring their safety remains the government’s top priority.
The Chief Minister reiterated his administration’s commitment to providing a safe working environment for media professionals and addressing their welfare and security concerns.
He added that violence, threats, or coercion against journalists have no place in a civilized society, and that freedom of expression must always be respected. He expressed hope that journalists in Balochistan will continue serving with integrity and impartiality.
