Professional Panel Secures Overwhelming Victory in Balochistan Bar Council Elections
The Professional Panel has achieved a decisive victory in the Balochistan Bar Council elections, according to non-official preliminary results. Out of a total of 8 seats, the Professional Panel won 6, while 2 seats went to the Independent Panel.
From Quetta, Afzal Harifal, Nader Chalgari, and Najeeb Kakar of the Professional Panel were elected, alongside Mir Attaullah Lango from the Independent Panel. A total of 1,474 votes were cast in Quetta, with Mir Attaullah Lango leading with 529 votes, Afzal Harifal securing 499 votes, Nader Chalgari 472 votes, and Najeeb Kakar 470 votes.
In other divisions, the Professional Panel secured victories as well: Jarrin Dashti, Makran Division, Nasirabad Division (Rahib Biledi), and Zhob Division (Ayaz Mandokhail). From the Independent Panel, Khalid Mehmood was elected from Qalat.
The winning Professional Panel members celebrated their victory with cultural performances, including traditional Baloch dance. Leaders of the panel pledged to continue working for the welfare, professional development, and rights of lawyers across the province.
