On the special directives of Assistant Commissioner Pasni, Mahim Khan Gichki, the Price Control Committee carried out inspections across various markets in the city. The committee visited chicken, fruit, and vegetable vendors, along with several other shops, to review the implementation of official price lists and the quality of essential commodities.
During monitoring, the team checked food and daily-use items and verified compliance with government-issued price lists. Shopkeepers were instructed to display the official rate lists prominently so that the public remains well-informed about prices.
The committee also reviewed product quality, cleanliness standards, and pricing procedures in detail.
The committee in-charge stated that, under the directives of the district administration, strict action against profiteering, hoarding, and sale of substandard goods will continue to ensure maximum relief to the public.
