ISLAMABAD, Nov 03 :Federal Minister for Climate Change and Environmental Coordination, Senator Dr Musadik Malik, met a delegation from the Climate Vulnerable Forum (CVF-20) on Monday to discuss Pakistan’s forthcoming Climate Prosperity Plan, which is due to be unveiled at COP30.
During the meeting, the delegation outlined the plan’s key objectives aimed at steering Pakistan towards a climate-resilient, low-carbon, and inclusive economy.
Discussions also focused on ongoing green initiatives and climate adaptation projects currently under implementation across the country.
Both sides explored avenues to enhance cooperation in promoting green investment, improving project execution, and fostering innovation and knowledge exchange.
Dr Malik and the CVF representatives agreed to strengthen coordination ahead of COP30 to ensure that Pakistan’s climate priorities, along with those of other vulnerable nations, are effectively represented in global climate negotiations.
