Commissioner Sukkur Division Abid Saleem Qureshi, along with DIG Sukkur Faisal Abdullah Chachar and Deputy Commissioner Ghotki Manzoor Ahmed Kanrani, conducted a detailed inspection of the ongoing construction work on the Ghotki–Kandhkot Bridge.

During the visit, SSP Ghotki Anwar Khetran briefed the officials on the security measures in place at the bridge site, assuring that all necessary steps have been taken to ensure smooth and safe progress of the project.

Commissioner Abid Saleem Qureshi said that, in line with the Sindh Government’s directives, effective steps are being taken to ensure that the construction continues without interruption and is completed within the stipulated timeline. He noted that the bridge will benefit thousands of residents of Ghotki and Kashmore-Kandhkot, promote local trade, and ease travel between the two districts.

DIG Sukkur Faisal Abdullah Chachar described the bridge as an important development initiative of the Sindh Government that will positively transform the lives of people on both sides of the Indus River. He added that strict instructions have been issued to police personnel to prevent any obstruction to construction activities. A dedicated SP and DSP have been assigned to oversee and maintain robust security at the project site.

Deputy Commissioner Ghotki Manzoor Ahmed Kanrani emphasized that the project is being regularly monitored under the Sindh Government’s guidance. He stated that upon completion, the bridge will dramatically reduce travel time between Ghotki and Kandhkot—from hours to mere minutes—boosting economic activity and improving connectivity across the region.
