0 5

Shangla district experienced heavy rainfall, hailstorms, and strong winds today, disrupting daily life across the region. From 9 AM to 2 PM, dense clouds and reduced visibility created a night-like atmosphere throughout the day.

The upper mountainous and high-altitude residential areas recorded the first light snowfall of the winter season, significantly intensifying the cold. Temperatures dropped several degrees below normal.

The hailstorm caused substantial damage to fruit-bearing trees, including Amlok (Indian gooseberry) and other orchard crops. Additionally, power supply and local transport systems were disrupted due to the adverse weather.

Authorities have deployed emergency teams to monitor the situation and assist affected communities. The district administration continues to assess damage and coordinate relief efforts.
