Federal & Balochistan governments agree to integrate PM’s Youth Prog. & CM’s Youth Initiatives under coordinated strategy

QUETTA: The federal and Balochistan governments have agreed to integrate the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme and the Chief Minister’s Youth Initiatives under a coordinated strategy to provide more effective and harmonized facilities to young people.

As part of this plan, Youth Facilitation Centers would be established at the tehsil level, where youth would get information and guidance on employment, training, entrepreneurship, and interest-free loans.

In addition, a special support center would be set up at the Chief Secretary’s Office to ensure coordination and collaboration between the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme and the Government of Balochistan.

These decisions were made during a high-level meeting chaired by Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti, on Wednesday focusing on youth welfare and development.

The meeting was attended by Chairman of the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan, Provincial Minister for Agriculture Ali Hassan Zehri, Chief Secretary Shakeel Qadir Khan and senior officials from various departments. The participants reviewed ongoing and proposed welfare projects for youth and made several key decisions to promote their participation, skill development, and employment opportunities.

Addressing the meeting, Mir Sarfraz Bugti said that the youth of Balochistan possess immense potential, and the government’s goal is to provide them with opportunities to transform their talents into the province’s and country’s development. He announced that an Enterprise Development Programme has been launched in seven districts of the province, under which 60,000 young people would receive training in entrepreneurship, technical, and digital skills, enabling them to achieve self-employment and become part of the modern economy.

The Chief Minister emphasized that practical opportunities will be provided to the youth to move forward in modern business skills, e-commerce, agriculture, IT, and other emerging sectors. He said that the youth are Pakistan’s most valuable asset, and their development is synonymous with national progress.

Mir Sarfraz Bugti reiterated that the Government of Balochistan is taking comprehensive, policy-level steps to secure the future of its youth and has made youth development one of its top priorities.

He instructed all relevant departments to utilize every available resource for the guidance, support, and empowerment of young people, adding that the youth of Balochistan are not only the architects of their dreams but also the guarantors of the province’s bright future.

On this occasion, Chairman PM Youth Programme, Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan highlighted the objectives and goals of the Youth Programme in relation to Balochistan and expressed appreciation to the Chief Minister for the provincial government’s cooperation
