Doha, November 5, 2025 — First Lady of Pakistan, Bibi Aseefa Bhutto Zardari, met with Her Highness Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, Mother of the Amir of Qatar, at the Qatar Foundation during her visit to Doha for the 2nd World Summit on Social Development.

In a cordial meeting, the two dignitaries discussed enhancing cooperation in the fields of education, healthcare, innovation, and women’s empowerment. The First Lady lauded the visionary leadership of Her Highness in promoting access to education and human development through the Qatar Foundation and the Education Above All (EAA) initiative.

Bibi Aseefa Bhutto Zardari acknowledged EAA’s outstanding contribution to the education of over 1.3 million out-of-school children in Pakistan through programs such as Educate a Child, and welcomed the launch of the Pakistan Youth Leadership Initiative (PYLI) — a program aimed at equipping young Pakistanis with educational and entrepreneurial skills.

She also briefed Her Highness on her own ongoing initiatives to promote vocational and technical training, particularly for women, to support their financial independence and empowerment. The First Lady proposed enhanced collaboration between Pakistani universities and Qatar Foundation institutions, including joint ventures in teacher training.

Her Highness Sheikha Moza welcomed these proposals and expressed Qatar Foundation’s willingness to explore new areas of cooperation. She noted that Pakistani students represent the fourth largest group of international students enrolled in Qatar Foundation’s institutions and praised their creativity and academic achievements.

The First Lady commended Her Highness’s strong advocacy for Palestine and her condemnation of Israeli atrocities in Gaza, as well as Qatar’s diplomatic efforts to facilitate a humanitarian ceasefire. Her Highness, in response, highlighted the prevailing global double standards in addressing the crisis.

Both sides reaffirmed their shared commitment to advancing education, women’s empowerment, and social inclusion, agreeing to continue close institutional cooperation.

Bibi Aseefa Bhutto Zardari expressed her deep appreciation for Her Highness’s time, vision, and enduring friendship with the people of Pakistan, noting that her leadership continues to inspire women and youth across the Muslim world.
