Islamabad, November 8, 2025:
The Islamabad Traffic Police has issued a traffic advisory ahead of the upcoming One-Day and Tri-Nation Cricket Series matches at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, scheduled to begin on November 9, 2025. During the series, movement of cricket teams will be from Islamabad to the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.
Over 300 traffic officers will be deployed to ensure smooth traffic management and public safety. To facilitate commuters, alternative traffic routes have been planned:
If Faisal Avenue is closed: Use Srinagar Highway via Club Road to Faizabad or Park Road to Lehtrar Road.
If Ninth Avenue is closed: Use Sabzi Mandi Mor / Police Line Chowk to Srinagar Highway or from Rawalpindi via Golra Mor to Peshawar Mor and Srinagar Highway.
For commuters traveling from Margalla Road toward Kahna: Use Blue Area via Club Road and Lehtrar Road.
Traffic police officers will also be stationed on service roads to guide and assist the public. During peak movement hours, traffic flow may be slightly affected on Express Highway and Srinagar Highway.
The public is advised to allow extra travel time and exercise patience while commuting. The Islamabad Traffic Police is committed to minimizing inconvenience and ensuring a smooth traffic flow during the cricket matches.
