The Agriculture Department has prepared an invitation letter, the theme of which is (Direct Cash Transfer). The ceremony of this direct cash transfer program has been held today, November 10, at the Police Training Center in Larkana. The program is being hosted by the Agriculture Department and its provincial minister Sardar Muhammad Bakhsh Mahar, along with the officials of the Agriculture Department. The special guest of the event is also PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari. The Agriculture Department has certainly organized this event, but behind it are the points and agenda of the Sindh government and the Sindh government’s agriculture policy 2018 to 2030. Sources say that this agenda is of the PPP that the prosperity of Sindh’s agriculture and population lies in the improvement of agriculture. Last month, the Sindh government has given an emergency aid program to provide money to farmers, landowners in the form of DAP and urea for wheat cultivation. This subsidy program is worth Rs 55.9 billion. This subsidy has been made specifically to support agriculture. At present, it is reported that the cultivation of wheat in South Sindh has increased. Meanwhile, North Sindh has also cultivated wheat for three seasons. The main point of the subsidy is to provide DAP and urea so that farmers, landowners and farmers can easily help them with additional expenses. The Agriculture Department, which works under the Sindh government, has worked day and night and has prepared a great program in a very short time. While there have been many difficulties on the basis of verification by the land department, including The revenue department is a major obstacle. Due to administrative negligence and lack of interest in the work, verification of revenue records cannot be done in sufficient numbers. Sources in the agriculture department say that the revenue department has created difficulties in transferring joint names and accounts, which has worried the account holders. The biggest obstacle in the failure and success of the government’s public schemes is the revenue department, which has returned millions of accounts across Sindh by sending a not-found note or message to the agriculture department. With this process, the scheme that should be successful cannot give proper results and timely results. On this basis, the Benazir Hari Card could not be implemented in time, which was also the target of the Sindh government. Therefore, it can be said with hope that the PPP leadership has made its manifesto, agricultural idea, prosperous farmers, and green Sindh agenda a part of the government policy. Which has also been clearly stated in the Sindh Agriculture Policy 2018 to 2030. At present, the PPP leadership is thinking and implementing the social, economic, agricultural, and youth development and improvement of Sindh through the Sindh government. But the speed and agility that should be created, the joint verification of institutions and other complications on this basis seem to be an obstacle to this process and are the main reasons for the failure of public schemes and programs. In this whole process, where the Sindh government should think, the Pakistan Peoples Party leadership should also take strict notice and devise a better plan of action to solve the problems facing the people. It would not be wrong to call this recent subsidy program a major revolutionary step in agriculture. It will happen. The People’s Party leadership, which is currently leading the youth better and implementing the packages, programs and schemes that have been prepared for abadgar and even the farmers, will also increase the agricultural and social development of Sindh, where public support and acceptance will be received. Despite all this, the Sindh government and the responsible authorities of the Agriculture Department should ensure that the innovations in agriculture are implemented despite the government’s budget of billions of rupees, but no specific work or results are seen. As there are Sindh Research Centers, their Director General is also present with the staff, but after years, no specific research results are seen. A department of the Agriculture Department does not check and balance agricultural chemicals, perhaps the staff is not qualified, or there is a shortage of staff, or the staff is dishonest in transparency. Agricultural chemicals used in crop cultivation are sold in the market of private institutions, such agricultural chemicals, fertilizers, and seeds are also found to be substandard. There are no rules or checks and balances on it. Despite all this, this above-mentioned subsidy scheme is a very timely and agriculture-friendly process. Keeping all these things in mind, it is hoped that according to Director General Agriculture Extension Allahwarayo Rind, this process of the Sindh government was a very urgent, people-friendly and agriculture-friendly process, which will provide great help and support to the farmers and cultivators of Sindh. However, when Secretary Agriculture Muhammad Zaman Narejo was asked about this process, scheme and the Larkana program on November 10, he said that the Sindh government considers this idea of the PPP leadership with the slogan of Hari Khushal, Sindh Khushal a revolutionary and a great and timely step towards an agricultural revolution. He further said that the Agriculture Department has worked day and night to provide the immediate benefits of the scheme to the farmers and cultivators. The farmers and cultivators will be given money in the form of DAP and urea in their accounts through Sindh Bank.
