Islamabad Traffic Police Launch Citywide Crackdown on Illegal Parking — Strict Action Ordered Against Violators

Islamabad Traffic Police have launched an extensive crackdown against illegal parking across the federal capital, deploying special teams to take strict action against violators obstructing pedestrian walkways and ignoring No Parking rules.
The operation, initiated under special directives of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, aims to ensure smooth traffic flow, improve urban traffic discipline, and enforce compliance with traffic laws.
Special monitoring units have been deployed around shopping malls, commercial markets, and major roads to detect and penalize parking violations.
In a directive issued to all zonal DSPs, Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Captain (R) Hamza Humayun ordered strict enforcement of traffic regulations and indiscriminate action against all offenders disrupting public convenience.
He emphasized that pedestrian sidewalks are strictly for foot traffic and must remain clear of obstructions, warning that no leniency will be tolerated toward violators.
Assuring full facilitation for citizens visiting markets, the traffic authorities urged the public to cooperate by adhering to traffic laws and helping maintain a well-organized transport system.
