KP Chief Minister Sohail Afridi Pays Tribute on Iqbal Day, Highlights Relevance of Poet’s Vision for Youth and Nation

Peshawar, Nov. 9, 2025: Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Muhammad Sohail Afridi, on the occasion of Youm-e-Iqbal, emphasized the enduring significance of Allama Iqbal’s philosophy in shaping the moral and intellectual fabric of Pakistan.
Suhail Afridi stated that the Poet of the East awakened the spirit of selfhood (Khudi), faith, and freedom among Muslims of the subcontinent. He added that the vision of founding Chairman Imran Khan reflects Iqbal’s dream of a Pakistan built on justice, merit, and dignity.
Addressing the youth, Afridi remarked that by embracing Allama Iqbal’s message of self-realization, they have the power to transform the nation’s destiny. He further stressed that a morally upright, enlightened, and faithful nation is the true realization of Iqbal’s vision.
“Today, Iqbal’s teachings continue to guide our national path,” said the Chief Minister. “A Pakistan based on justice, merit, and self-respect fulfills the dreams of both Allama Iqbal and Quaid-e-Azam.”
Afridi highlighted that the KP government is working to build a transparent and empowered society under the light of Iqbal’s ideals, reinforcing the values of accountability and civic responsibility.
